environmental hazards, including specific information on issues like
Stachybotrys, commonly known as 'Black Mold.' Furthermore, the course teaches
agents how to identify and avoid "problem houses" early in the
process and provides a thorough review of common questions that consistently arise
during the inspection period.
What to Expect in the Final Exam
Upon completion of the coursework, you must pass the final
course exam to receive SAE credit.
This is a comprehensive examination that tests your
retention of the course material and your ability to apply inspection knowledge
to real-world real estate scenarios. The exam format is multiple-choice.
Students must achieve a passing score of 70% or higher.
Depending on your chosen delivery method (Online Interactive
vs. Correspondence), the exam may be open-book or closed-book. For Online
Interactive students, the exam is typically proctored online through Champions
and is timed. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you may be allowed a
second attempt; however, if you fail twice, TREC rules require that you retake
the course from the beginning before taking the exam again.

practical application of the terminology.
Begin by carefully reading the required textbook or
downloadable PDF materials provided by Champions. Utilize the "unit
quizzes" at the end of each chapter; you must understand why a correct
answer is right and why the distractors are wrong. To maximize your chances of
success, utilize the Champions Residential Inspections SAE Practice Exam
multiple times. A strong practice test will not only test your knowledge but
also get you accustomed to the phrasing of the multiple-choice questions you
will encounter on the final exam. If you are a physical learner, walk through

the book.
Your method for taking the final exam depends on your course
format. If you completed the course via Online Interactive methods, the final
exam will be accessed directly through the Champions School of Real Estate
online portal. If you took the course through Online Correspondence (reading
the book independently), you must schedule your exam through the Champions
portal. Correspondence exams may require proctoring at a physical Champions
School of Real Estate campus testing center, which are located throughout Texas
in major hubs like Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.
