What the Course Entails and Exam Details

This module builds upon fundamental skills, moving into the supervision and management of key Services areas. The course entails a deep dive into operational protocols for sustenance (dining facilities and flight feeding), lodging operations, fitness and sports centers, and recreation management. The syllabus covers resource management, sanitation and safety standards, customer service excellence within a military environment, and standard operating procedures unique to Air Force Services. Mastery of these topics ensures that Journeymen can operate effectively both at home stations and in deployed environments.

What to Expect in the Final Exam

You should expect a rigorous, closed-book examination administered via a secure computer portal. The final exam format is predominantly multiple-choice questions designed to test your ability to recall facts, understand concepts, and apply Services regulations to specific scenarios. The passing score is generally 65% or higher, though individual unit requirements may vary. You will be allotted a specific time limit, typically between 90 minutes and two hours, to complete the exam. It is crucial to manage your time effectively, as the questions are designed to be thorough.

How to Study and Exam Centers

Effective preparation is the key to success. Start by thoroughly reading your Career Development Courses (CDCs) for Module 2, paying close attention to "Need to Know" sections and highlighted regulations. Utilize the Volume Review Exercises (UREs) found at the end of each volume; test yourself without looking at the answers first, then study the rationales for any missed questions. Create flashcards for acronyms, regulations, and specific procedural steps. Utilize reputable practice tests to familiarize yourself with the phrasing of the questions. For testing, active-duty personnel must schedule their exam through their Unit Training Manager (UTM), and it will be administered at the base Education Office or designated Force Support Squadron testing center. Guard and Reserve members will coordinate testing through their wing training offices at authorized military testing sites.
