The Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI) certification validates your ability to install, configure, and manage Nutanix Hybrid Cloud technologies. This exam is essential for proving your expertise in deploying and administering Nutanix nodes, clusters, and private cloud environments.
It is designed for IT professionals who already have some experience administering Nutanix environments. This includes systems administrators, engineers, and architects responsible for data center infrastructure and multicloud strategy. Earning this certification demonstrates your competency in core Nutanix technologies.
The NCP-MCI curriculum and exam cover fundamental and advanced concepts of Nutanix environment administration. The topics include understanding the Prism Central management interface, configuring clusters, managing storage containers and volumes, implementing network security, and maintaining virtual machines.
Additionally, the exam assesses skills related to data protection strategies, cluster maintenance, troubleshooting common issues, and leveraging Nutanix’s hybrid and multicloud capabilities. Mastery of these areas ensures that you can effectively manage a resilient and scalable infrastructure.
The NCP-MCI final exam typically consists of 75 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions. You will have 120 minutes to complete the test.
The passing score is typically determined by a scaled method, but generally aligns with a requirement of around 70%. It is important to note that the exam is proctored, and you must adhere to standard testing rules regarding prohibited materials and communication.
Effective study methods include hands-on practice within a real Nutanix environment, utilizing the official Nutanix training courses (such as the Nutanix Hybrid Cloud Fundamentals), and thoroughly reviewing the exam blueprint. Taking practice exams is crucial for familiarizing yourself with the question format and identifying knowledge gaps.
The NCP-MCI exam can be taken online via a remote proctoring service. Alternatively, you may take the exam in person at authorized testing centers worldwide, including Pearson VUE facilities and authorized Nutanix training partners.
