CDL General Knowledge Practice Test

Checking the interior of the bus before driving is crucial to ensure there are no hidden students or belongings. This practice is essential for the safety of any passengers, particularly children who may have inadvertently stayed aboard the bus after stops. By performing a thorough check, the driver can confirm that the bus is empty and that no individuals or items are left behind which could lead to hazardous situations when moving the bus. Ensuring passenger safety is the top priority, and this check is part of responsible and legal driving practices, as it can prevent accidents and potential harm. It also helps the bus driver maintain awareness of their surroundings and address any issues before starting the journey, contributing to overall operational efficiency and safety.
