University Of Central Florida (UCF) MAN3302 Talent Management Final Practice Exam

The cause of the performance gap arising from representatives not adhering to interaction scripts due to the evaluation system is a managerial issue. This scenario typically indicates that the management has not effectively aligned the evaluation criteria or performance expectations with the desired behaviors or outcomes. When representatives are evaluated in ways that do not incentivize following established interaction scripts, it signals a breakdown in managerial strategy. Good management should create systems that enhance performance and compliance with necessary practices. If the evaluation system overlooks the importance of script adherence or rewards different behaviors, it can lead to inconsistency in performance among representatives. Moreover, effective talent management requires that management clearly communicates expectations and provides the necessary structure for representatives to succeed in their roles. When this alignment is absent, it creates a disconnect between what is expected and what is rewarded, resulting in a performance gap. The focus on effective management practices underscores the importance of creating a supportive environment that encourages desired behaviors through appropriate evaluation and reward systems.
