Certified Integration Architect Designer Practice Exam

The recommendation to build all integrations as nightly ETL batches to minimize real-time overhead aligns with the goal of reducing complexity during new acquisitions. By using a batch processing approach, the technical architect allows for a simplified integration architecture that processes data in scheduled increments rather than constantly in real time. This can reduce the demand on system resources, minimize immediate dependency on external systems, and manage data flow in a controlled manner. In situations involving new acquisitions, the architecture often needs to interface with multiple disparate systems. Nightly ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes can handle large volumes of data at once and allow for necessary transformations and validation before the data is used within the primary application. This reduces the potential for errors that can arise with direct real-time integrations and simplifies troubleshooting because the data movement is batch-oriented and can be monitored at specific times. Moreover, utilizing a nightly batch process can also improve performance since it can take place during off-peak hours when system demand is lower, thus optimizing overall operational efficiency. This strategy allows the integration architect to focus on establishing robust integrations without the immediate need for real-time communication, which can often add layers of complexity. In contrast, utilizing custom links for directing users to view order status may lead to a confusing user experience by
