South Carolina Nail Technician Practice Test

Sanitizing tools is an essential practice in the nail technician profession, as it significantly helps prevent the spread of infections. This is because sanitization involves the use of specific methods and substances to reduce the number of microorganisms on tools to a safe level, as dictated by public health standards. By ensuring that tools are properly sanitized, nail technicians can protect clients from potential infections that can occur from bacteria, viruses, and fungi that may be present on unclean instruments. Using sanitized tools also builds trust with clients, as it indicates a commitment to hygiene and safety. While tools may appear clean to the naked eye, sanitizing them is a critical control measure that should always be employed after each use to maintain health standards in the salon environment.
