School Building Leader (SBL) Practice Exam

A School Building Leader should approach the evaluation of school programs by assessing the impact on student outcomes and making necessary adjustments because this methodology is grounded in data-driven decision-making. By focusing on student outcomes, the leader ensures that the evaluation process is aligned with the ultimate goal of education: enhancing student learning and achievement. This approach allows for a systematic examination of what works, what doesn’t, and how programs can be improved based on measurable results. Furthermore, evaluating programs based on their performance helps identify best practices that can be replicated and areas that require additional resources or changes. This iterative process supports continuous improvement and ensures that educational practices evolve in response to the needs of students. In contrast, relying solely on subjective opinions would not provide a clear or accurate measure of a program's effectiveness, while maintaining the status quo ignores the potential need for change based on outcomes. Likewise, focusing only on administrative feedback overlooks the critical perspective of those directly impacted by the programs, such as students and teachers. Thus, assessing impact on student outcomes is the most comprehensive and effective way for a School Building Leader to evaluate programs.
