4H Shooting Sports Practice Test

What NRA rules does 10-Meter Air Pistol follow?

ISSF Pistol Rules NRA Pistol Rules #C116500 USAS Shooting Rules NCAA Pistol Rules

Correct Answer:

NRA Pistol Rules #C116500

Explanation:

In NRA competition, each pistol discipline is governed by the organization’s own rulebook, and 10-meter air pistol is no exception. The governing rules for NRA-sanctioned pistol events, including equipment, targets, timing, scoring, and safety for air pistols, come from NRA Pistol Rules. ISSF Pistol Rules cover international and Olympic-style events, which are not the framework used for NRA matches. Similarly, USAS Shooting Rules or NCAA Pistol Rules apply to their own circuits, not NRA competitions. So the rules that apply to 10-meter air pistol in NRA events come from NRA Pistol Rules.
