CDL General Knowledge Practice Test

Before driving a school bus, it is crucial to ensure that it is safe and ready for operation. One key aspect of this is checking for any items that may pose a safety hazard or obstruction within the bus. This includes ensuring that all student belongings and school books are securely stowed away and do not block aisles or exits. When students board the bus, they often bring personal items, and it's important for the driver to verify that these items are properly placed and that nothing is on the floor that could be a tripping hazard. Additionally, having school books organized ensures that they won't become a projectile in the event of sudden braking or an accident. Therefore, checking for school books and student belongings before starting the journey is integral to maintaining a safe environment for both the students and the driver. Proper management of these items contributes to a safer overall bus ride.
