Hawaii Notary Public Practice Exam

The information found in the top right corner of each page of the notarial record book is the commission number. This unique identifier is essential for notaries as it provides a specific reference to their authority and credentials to perform notarial acts. The commission number helps to establish the notary’s identity and verifies that they are officially registered and authorized under state law to execute notarial duties. This is crucial for maintaining the integrity and legality of the notarization process. Other options could include various important details related to the notarial act, such as the signer's address or the date of the act, but those are typically recorded in the body of the entry, not in the standardized location at the top right corner. The notary's name is also documented in the record book, but this information does not follow the specific format or location prescribed for the commission number.
