Alberta Written Class 4 Drivers License Practice Test

The Vehicle Inspection Program (VIP) encompasses a range of commercial vehicles to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. This includes buses, trucks, and trailers, which are subject to specific regulations due to their size and potential impact on road safety. By including these categories, the VIP focuses on vehicles that are more likely to be involved in serious incidents due to their weight and passenger capacity. Light vehicles, on the other hand, typically fall under different inspection requirements and are not the primary focus of the VIP. This is because the program is tailored to manage the risks associated with larger commercial vehicles that can pose greater hazards if not properly maintained. Therefore, the correct answer reflects the comprehensive nature of the program in addressing the critical needs of transportation safety concerning larger vehicles.
