California Driver License (DMV) Written Practice Test

Stop and wait Increase your speed Slow down and proceed with caution Speed up and pass

Correct Answer:

Slow down and proceed with caution

Explanation:

When you approach a flashing yellow signal light, it indicates that you should proceed with caution. This means that you should slow down and be prepared to stop if necessary. Option A is incorrect because stopping is usually only necessary at a solid yellow or red light. Option B is incorrect because increasing your speed can be dangerous if there are other vehicles or pedestrians nearby. Option D is incorrect because you should never speed up or pass when approaching a flashing yellow light, as it could potentially cause a collision with other vehicles or pedestrians.
