OSTP ELA Grade 3 Practice Questions - Oklahoma School Testing Program - English Language Arts, Grade 3 Exam

Read the passage below before answering the question. Maya and the Meadowlark's Nest (1) Maya stepped out onto the porch of her family's farmhouse near Enid, Oklahoma. The morning air smelled like fresh grass and warm sunlight. As she walked toward the tall prairie grass near the wooden barn, she heard a soft rustling sound. (2) Maya stopped and peered into the green blades. Tucked safely near the base of a wild sunflower plant was a small woven nest. Inside rested four tiny speckled eggs. A yellow-breasted meadowlark perched on a fence post nearby, watching Maya with bright eyes. (3) Maya smiled and stepped back quietly. She did not want to frighten the mother bird. She ran to the porch to tell her grandfather about her discovery. According to paragraph 2, where was the meadowlark's nest located?
