Correct Answer:

Stop your vehicle regardless of direction

Explanation:

When you encounter a stopped school bus with its lights flashing, the appropriate action is to stop your vehicle regardless of your direction. This law is designed to protect children who are boarding or exiting the bus, as they may unexpectedly cross the street. Stopping ensures that you provide a safe environment for children and comply with traffic regulations designed to prevent accidents in these situations. Failing to stop can lead to serious consequences, both for the safety of the children and for legal repercussions for the driver. States have strict laws regarding this situation, and following the correct procedure is crucial for everyone’s safety.
