Viewing the Chart of Accounts with the "Show Inactives Marked" option provides a significant advantage by allowing users to see amounts posted to inactive default accounts. This is particularly beneficial for organizations that may want to audit or review historical transactions that have been associated with accounts that are no longer active. Inactive accounts may still hold valuable data related to past financial transactions, and having visibility into these accounts can help ensure that any necessary reconciliations or reporting can be conducted accurately. It also aids in understanding the financial history of the organization, even as it transitions away from certain accounts. In contrast to this, sorting accounts by subsidiary, having inline editing capabilities, or using inactive and delete checkboxes are more administrative or organizational functionalities that do not directly relate to the visibility of historical transaction amounts. Therefore, the primary benefit of viewing the Chart of Accounts with inactive accounts shown lies in the ability to see those amounts, which is crucial for comprehensive financial oversight.
