New Jersey Drivers Practice Test Practice Exam

A green traffic light signifies that drivers may proceed in a safe manner. This means that vehicles can move forward, turn, or continue through the intersection as long as it is clear, and it is safe to do so. However, it is crucial for drivers to remain vigilant and ensure that the intersection is free of pedestrians and other vehicles that may pose a hazard. In addition to understanding the directive of a green light, awareness of traffic rules regarding right-of-way is essential. For instance, even when the light is green, drivers should still yield to pedestrians crossing at the intersection and be cautious of any unexpected situations that could arise. Therefore, recognizing the green light as a signal to proceed safely is fundamental for maintaining proper traffic flow and ensuring safety on the roads.
