What must you do when you see a school bus with its red lights flashing?

Slow down and proceed with caution Stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing Continue driving at your current speed Honk your horn to alert children

Correct Answer:

Stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing

Explanation:

When you see a school bus with its red lights flashing, it is crucial to stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing. This rule is in place to ensure the safety of children who may be getting on or off the bus. The flashing red lights indicate that children are likely crossing the street or are in the vicinity of the bus, and stopping helps to prevent any potential accidents. The law requires all drivers to bring their vehicles to a complete stop when facing a school bus that has its red lights activated, regardless of the direction from which they are approaching. This safety measure is essential to create a secure environment for children as they navigate in and out of school bus zones.
