Ohio Drivers Ed Practice Exam Guide

A green traffic light indicates that you are allowed to proceed through the intersection, provided it is safe to do so. This means that drivers may continue driving in the direction of the green light unless there are obstacles or other vehicles in the intersection that would necessitate a stop. It's essential for drivers to ensure that the way is clear before moving forward, as the presence of pedestrians, cyclists, or other vehicles may affect the safety of their movement. While other aspects of traffic signaling involve stops or yields, a green light specifically grants a clear path to proceed, highlighting the importance of situational awareness. This helps in minimizing accidents and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic. Understanding this is crucial for safe driving practices.
