Massachusetts Driver's Instructor Practice Exam

The duration of suspension for drag racing offenses for drivers over the age of 18 is set at a significant range of 30 days to 180 days. This range reflects the serious nature of the offense, as drag racing is considered a reckless behavior that poses a high risk to public safety. In addition to the suspension period, the accompanying fine of $500 to $1,000 serves as a punitive measure intended to deter future violations and reinforce the serious consequences of engaging in such dangerous driving practices. This approach benefits the community by promoting responsible driving and reducing the likelihood of accidents associated with drag racing. The length of suspension and the financial penalty highlight the Massachusetts laws aimed at curbing reckless driving behavior effectively.
