Officer Training School (OTS) Talon Practice Test

When is the Prop and Wings insignia now worn?

After successful completion of program requirements in AFA, ROTC, and OTS While still in training After commissioning At the end of service

Correct Answer:

While still in training

Explanation:

The key idea here is that insignia reflect your current status. The Prop and Wings insignia is a symbol used while you’re in flight training and still part of the training program. It identifies you as a trainee and is authorized for wear during that period. Once you’re commissioned, you transition to the appropriate officer insignia for your new status, and the Prop and Wings badge isn’t worn as part of the standard uniform anymore unless you’re back in a training context. So the best answer is that you wear it while still in training.
