National Opticianry Competency Examination (NOCE)

Turn the eyepiece clockwise until the reticle is sharp, then turn it counter-clockwise one full turn. Turn the eyepiece fully clockwise, then slowly turn it counter-clockwise until the reticle first becomes sharp. Place a high-powered plus lens in the lensmeter and adjust the eyepiece until the target is clear. Turn the eyepiece fully counter-clockwise to the most plus setting, then slowly turn it clockwise until the reticle first becomes sharp and clear.
