El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) Volume 1 Practice Exam

How many CE hours are required for blue card?

12 24 36 48

Correct Answer:

Explanation:

Continuing education credits are the training units you must complete to renew a credential like the blue card. The blue card renewal requires 36 CE hours within the renewal period. This amount keeps you current on safety practices, codes, and department procedures, while allowing a mix of in-service, online, and hands-on training to fit into your schedule. You can earn these hours through EPFD in-service trainings, regional classes, online accredited courses, and skills labs. The other options don’t fit because they wouldn’t meet the renewal requirement or would exceed what the program prescribes. In short, 36 CE hours is the official renewal requirement for the blue card.
