Diamond Aircraft DA20-C1 Practice Test

What is the engine horsepower rating?

125 HP 115 HP 150 HP 110 HP

Correct Answer:

125 HP

Explanation:

125 horsepower. The engine horsepower rating is the maximum continuous power the engine is certified to deliver for this aircraft. For the DA20-C1, the standard installed engine is rated at 125 HP, as shown in the airplane’s POH and type certificate data sheet. This rating is used for performance calculations like takeoff distance and climb rate. The other numbers correspond to different engine options not approved for this airframe, so they aren’t the correct rating.
