Commission On Cancer (CoC) Cancer Program Standards Practice Test

The maximum number of cancer registry cases that require quality control according to the Commission on Cancer (CoC) is indeed 300. This standard is set to ensure that cancer registries maintain high-quality data collection and reporting. Quality control procedures are critical to assess the accuracy and completeness of the cancer data collected. By examining a representative sample of 300 cases, registrars can evaluate the data integrity and help identify areas that may need improvement. This specific number is grounded in ensuring that registrars have a manageable yet thorough dataset to audit, allowing for effective monitoring and enhancement of overall registry practices. This approach balances the need for comprehensive quality assurance with practical resource management within cancer programs.
