What is the relationship between citizenship and voting?
With citizenship comes the right to vote in federal elections, but it's also a responsibility of a citizen. While It's wonderful if they do as they get to feel as though their voice is represented in the choosing of our President, they don't have to vote if they choose not to. Being an active citizen in America means upholding your responsibilities, and one of those has really no downsides - voting. The only thing that can be considered a hassle when it comes to voting is registering to vote, so since it has no downsides, it still baffles me why some people don't go out and vote.
