About this Quiz

What the Course Entails and Exam Details

The CSCP program is comprehensive, structured around the APICS CSCP Exam Content Manual (ECM). It covers a wide array of critical topics through integrated modules that reflect the standard life cycle of a supply chain.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in eight core modules:

  • Module 1: Supply Chains, Demand Management, and Forecasting
  • Module 2: Global Supply Chain Networks
  • Module 3: Sourcing Products and Services
  • Module 4: Internal Operations and Inventory
  • Module 5: Forward and Reverse Logistics
  • Module 6: Supply Chain Relationships
  • Module 7: Supply Chain Risk
  • Module 8: Optimization, Sustainability, and Technology

The course entails understanding how to design, plan, execute, control, and monitor supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand, and measuring performance globally.

What to Expect in the Final Exam

The official CSCP exam is a rigorous test of both knowledge and application. It is administered via computer-based testing (CBT). You must apply for and be granted eligibility before you can register for the test.

The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions. Of these, 130 are scored questions, and 20 are pretest questions that do not contribute to your final score but are used for statistical purposes for future exams. You will have a total of 3.5 hours to complete the entire test.

The CSCP score range is 200 to 350. A score of 300 or above is considered passing, while any score of 299 or below is a failing score. You should be prepared for questions that test your ability to analyze scenarios and apply CSCP concepts to real-world supply chain challenges, rather than simple recall.

How to Study and Exam Centers

Preparation for the CSCP exam requires a dedicated and structured approach. We recommend allocating a minimum of 100 hours of study time, although this can vary significantly based on your prior experience and knowledge.

Your core study method should revolve around the official APICS CSCP Learning System, which includes reading materials and interactive web-based tools. A highly effective strategy is to follow a "Assess, Study, Practice" methodology.

Begin by taking an initial assessment to identify your weak areas. Focus your study efforts on these modules while performing periodic reviews of your strong points. The most critical component of final preparation is using multiple full-length CSCP practice exams.

These practice tests allow you to become familiar with the question formats, build the mental endurance required for a 3.5-hour test, and develop crucial pacing strategies, ensuring you can effectively manage the approximately 1.4 minutes allowed per question.

The actual CSCP exam is delivered globally through Pearson VUE, which offers a vast network of physical testing centers. Candidates also have the option to take the exam from their home or office using the OnVUE online proctored system, provided they meet specific technical and environment requirements.
